IACCI’s Membership Services

 

Introduction to IACCI

IACCI was established on May 9th, 2003 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. Our aim was to transfer advanced expertise and aid in the facilitation of communication between the commercial and industrial sector in Iraq and abroad. We are an independent nonprofit, non governmental organization(NGO). It does not discriminate between its members with respect to race, religion, or ethnic origin.

Since IACCI's inception, we have signed agreements of cooperation with the Federation of Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, Lebanese – American Chamber of Commerce, Egyptian – American Chamber of Commerce and Turkish Adana Chamber of Commerce, etc. IACCI is registered at International Chamber of Commerce, Paris and US Council for International Business (USCIB), New York.

By the middle of 2007, our members totaled more than 7,100.  Each of them enjoy IACCI’s service of international company registration.

IACCI has enhanced the bonds of cooperation with such unions as Engineers Union, Medical Union, Bar Union, Contractors Union, etc.


IACCI Member Services

  1. Visa Card - IACCI strives to develop banking mechanization and electronic financial transaction through the visa card service to members inside Iraq and abroad.
  2. Legal services:
    • The registration of companies at Company Registration Office, Iraqi Ministry of Trade. All companies desiring to contract the Iraqi government have to register at this office.
    • Legal consultation to member.
    • Preparatory help of legal contracts and their authentication at the Office of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  3. Graphic design - IACCI designs professional websites and graphical designs for member company identities (i.e. Busienss cards, advertisements, folders, etc.).
  4. Initiation and development of website - IACCI has contracted with an America company to create web designs, execution and registration for members. The IACCI team helps its members to develop a website which is linked to the IACCI official site which is visited daily by over 1,500 browsers. IACCI members are smart to link their website with that of IACCI.
  5. Publications:
    • “Free Trade” magazine issued in Arabic, Kurdish and English. It elaborates fully on our work in Iraq and on various economic topics. It is deemed a reference for all businessmen.
    • “Free Trade” semi-monthly paper concerned with commerce and business. It encompasses all the economic activities in Iraq. It is distributed to its responsible figures and decision makes in the Iraqi government. It also is published in Arabic, Kurdish and English.
  6. Commercial Directory - The commercial directory is useful to locate Arab and foreign companies that a member may wish to deal with.  The directory encompasses Swedish, British, Romanian, American, Canadian, Emirate, Jordanian, Turkish and other country based companies.
  7. Exhibition and Conference:
    • Participation in any economic symposium affiliated with Iraqi’s construction.
    • Member participation in exhibitions and conferences held by IACCI (e.g. Conference for introducing Iraq’s Reconstruction Office in April, 2004, Iraqi Ministries Conference – May 2004, Diyar Baker Exhibition in 2004, First International DBX Kurdistan Trade Show in 2005 in Erbil, Amman Destination (Special Event 2006), Second International DBX Trade Show 2006 in Sulaimaniyah and Amman Destination (Special Event 2007).
    • Special trips for members in the form of IACCI – Led delegations to exhibition and international economic symposiums. IACCI led delegations to exhibitions and international economic trips and accompanying an Iraqi delegation representative of IACCI’s members to Ajex Exhibition in Jordan, “Made in America” Exhibition in Lebanon, Iraq’s reconstruction Exhibition in Kuwait and visit of Slovak companies in Bratislava, BAU Exhibition in Germany, etc.
    • Holding economic seminars and get-together meeting; contracting partnerships between international and Iraqi companies (as representer by IACCI’s members).
    • Facilitation of acquiring entry visas to Arab and foreign countries, ratifying commercial agreement, acquaintance about the commercial / industrial development and participation in specialty conferences / exhibition.
  8. Tenders - IACCI, in a bid to support and develop the private sector, publishes and distributes about 150-200 Iraqi Ministry tenders per month to the IACCI website, as well as PCO tenders.
    It is noteworthy that IACCI is the sole body for nominating qualified tenders to PCO tenders through acquiring D&B (international registration number) and CCR.

  9. Trips - IACCI organizes regular visits to Iraq by foreign delegations for the purpose of conducting services and entering into contracts with representatives of foreign companies.
  10. Training Sessions
    IACCI conducts training sessions in:
    • English as a foreign language by instructions versed in Oxford University curriculum ( 6 consecutive levels)
    • Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows XP, E-mail use and more)
    • International Accounting Program (Quickbooks, Strategic Management, Public Relations, Negation Skills, Skills for Dealing with People and Project Planning
    • International Financial Corporation teaching series in General Administration, Marketing and Accounting.
  11. International Driving License - IACCI facilities the acquiring of an international driving license to its members, in cooperation with state traffic directorate.
  12. Fast Mail Delivery of document and goals - This is accomplished via DHL, FedEx, TNT. IACCI has contracted with professional mail services companies in Amman, Jordan for service to all over the world.
  13. International Entry Visas - IACCI facilitates with the acquiring of entry visas to contain countries for members who wish to visit these countries for commercial purposes; this is by virtue of countries. 
  14. Inspection and Verification Services: IACCI can supply your company with guarantees of letters of credits and check on identities of probable business partners by the following procedure:
    • Collecting essential information about the company (its size, location, financial documents, and annual reports).
    • Cross-check with Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry and Minerals and their affiliates.
    • Visits to head offices of each company for further verification.
  15. Loans and Grants - In corporation with International Relief and Development (IRD) grants, monetary grants are given under specific circumstances to Iraqis in Baghdad as a support to small-to-medium size enterprises (SMEs) to combat the prevailing unemployment in Iraq. The grants ranges from $500-$15000.
  16. Other Services to Members
    • Entry to the database to avail an opportunity for foreign companies to deal with members. The database offers statistical data on the type of companies, their nature, points of contract, etc.
    • IACCI is solely authorized to grant D&B Registration numbers at London. This is mandatory for companies to enter into contracts with foreign governments and companies relevant to PCO tenders. This number is included in the several number of IACCI’s member, enabling the member to get CCR registration number in Paris, N-cage (contractors and industrialists by NATO) registration number and NAICS (contractors and industrialists in North America) registration number.
    • Advertisement – fee e-mail with anti-virus protection.
    • Free sheet at IACCI’s website www.i-acci.org to acquaint other members about the company nature its services and protects.
    • Presentation of information about PCO tenders. IACCI shall present in the future information about tenders submitted by international companies.
